After 45 years of flying the skies over the Pajaro Valley on Memorial Day weekend, the board of the Watsonville Fly-In & Air Show has voted to break tradition and move the event to Labor Day weekend.
Celebrate Labor Day Weekend at Watsonville’s 46th Annual Fly-in & Air Show. Enjoy chills and thrills by the dozen and delight your senses September 3,4,5 this year. There is something for everyone in the family to enjoy.
Be awed by the beauty of the Friday night Air Show starting at dusk. Saturday and Sunday, thrill to the noise and tactical maneuvers of two F-18 Super Hornets! See the Marines demonstrate vertical takeoffs and landings with the AV-8B Harrier from MAG-13 out of Yuma!
Top that off with breathtaking performances by Vicky Benzig with her highly modified Extra 330 Single, Tim Decker in a Pitts S2B, John Collver in his T-6, Bill Stein and his Edge 540, and Eddie Andreini in his 450 Super Stearman, Jess Rodriguez skydiving, and local performer Carlos “CRASH” Tapia's acrobatics with Extreme Industries motorcycles.
Watch the aerial parade of WWII war birds, including an F6F Hellcat, P-40 SeaFury, Yak-11, P-51 Mustangs, and an assortment of T-6, SNJ, and BT-13's as they fly overhead in a pre-show salute.
Stroll down the rows of beautifully restored antique aircraft flown in from all over the country, such as the very rare 1928 Boeing 40C owned by Addison Pemberton of Spokane, Washington. But, don't stop with aircraft, enjoy The 3rd Annual Show-N-Shine Car Extravaganza with its dazzling array of custom and classic cars, co-hosted by Koolstangs and Road Angels. While you're at it, stop by the many vendors booths for that perfect souvenir or your favorite event food.
Bring your sense of smell and taste to the Friday night Family Spaghetti Dinner, September 3rd, in the Pacific Air Care hangar. More great food awaits you at the EAA Pancake Breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, and the Annual Awards Dinner Saturday night.
Learn about flying, hear great speakers and much more at the Open Hangar hosted by EAA Chapter 119 all three days.
This is your chance to have a great time with your family while supporting local non-profit organizations; this is truly a community event.
